Sean Hagerty's first book, Jones Point, introduces us to Dane Cooper, a proficient special operator with the skills and mentality to do for this country what many others cannot. However, his successful career is irreversibly sidetracked when his daughter Angela is abducted; no clues, no ransom, no nothing. It sidelines his career, destroys his marriage, and unleashes demons in Dane he didn't even know he had. However, when all seems lost, a mysterious group of well-resourced vigilantes recruits him into the fold. They are from all different backgrounds and professions, but they all share something in common: the loss of a child to violence.
Dane's life again has purpose, and as he becomes more deeply involved in hunting pedophiles and child killers, he begins to regain control of himself. Will this bring him closer to finding his daughter? Or will this cost him what soul he has left?
The characters are well developed and interesting, the cause noble, and the action fierce and decisive. No special ops soldier is average, but even among giants, Dane Cooper is a special kind of hero. It's clear the author has played in the Spec Ops world, and brings all his experience to his writing for the benefit of his readers. Fans of crime thrillers and vigilante justice will certainly enjoy this book.
