MWSA Review
The Black Raven's Song by Macklin Grey is fast-moving international thriller that any thriller fan should enjoy. Author Grey's protagonist, Chase Harper, is a former U.S. military special forces soldier who finds himself unexpectedly thrown into a hunt to find a kidnapped friend. Little does he suspect that the kidnapping is related to some stolen enriched uranium and a North Korean plot to get itself out of a terrible famine or go to war trying. Most of the book is set in or around exotic Singapore. A nuclear explosion, helicopters, submarines, gangsters, and North Korean assassins all team up to take the reader on quite the reading journey. Chase Harper is a protagonist who is easy to cheer for. I enjoyed reading this book and highly recommend it.
