On February 9, 2012, I attended a memorial service for MWSA member Trumbull Rogers who passed away after a long illness on September 4, 2012.

Trumbull's sister, Grace, was organizing the memorial service, a complicated affair as she was living in California and the service was going to be in Manhattan, where Trumbull had spent most of his life. Grace was contacting friends and organizations that Trum (as he was known) knew or was a member of. Her MWSA contact information had Maria Edwards' name and she forwarded the details to me.

My husband and I will be appearing on ABC Channel 8 on Thursday February 7, 2013 at 11am to talk about our book Love at First Flight - Adventures, Exploits, Sacrifices, Risks & Rewards.  Tune in to watch.  Also we will be doing a book signing, Saturday & Sunday February 9 - 10 at Henderson Hall MCX Emporium.  If you are in the Arlington, Va. area stop by between 11 am - 2 pm.

The Military Writers Society of America (MWSA) is an organization of over one thousand writers, poets, and artists drawn together by a common bond of military service.  One purpose of our Society is to review the written works of our members.  From our recent book reviews, we’ve selected the following as our 2013 Winter Recommended Reading List:

I'm proud to announce my latest book, 'Who's Minding the Store?' will be on exhibit at the San Diego Public Library. This is a yearly event for local authors to display their books in the public library. The event will take place on Friday, February 1, 2013. All authors living in San Diego with a published book in 2012 are eligible.
