2013 Conference
September is not far off, a little pre-planning is always a great idea. So, some key points and features are here for you to see and plan for (Dayton, Ohio September 26-29). Holiday Inn, Conference Center I-675, 2800 Presidential Drive, Fairborn, Ohio 45324.

You will earn $5,000.00 in Buckaroos for each day you are registered and paid for at this years conference.
Meals will once again be provided; hot buffet breakfast comes with your room rate which remains the same $111.38 including all taxes, Thursday Dinner, Friday Lunch & Dinner and Saturday Lunch and the Banquet. Hotel reservation Number is (937)431-4613) ask for the MWSA Block of Rooms.
Arrangements for transportation to the hotel from the airport need to be made a minimum of seven days prior to your arrival.
We will have two tables for members to have their books on for sale, limited to the first 30 authors or 60 books whichever comes first. Maximum of two titles per member/author, no signs or handouts unless they are inside the book cover. Reserving a spot must be done prior to September 15th and paid for, the rate is $5.00 per day. No exceptions can be made, you have been provided ample advanced notice. If you are placing a book(s) on the table and you want or need a copy for a seminar bring an extra, no books can be taken from the Book Table.
Auction Donations – We are accepting them now, so please contribute to 2013’s fun auction. You earn the value of the donation plus the difference between the bid price and the selling price. Donations will be accepted until July 1, 2013 (services, gift cards and electronics are popular).
We are requesting each member donate a book or books to be donated to the Dayton VA Center (no old books). Last year (2012) 22 books were donated, hopefully we can at least double that. multiple copies of one book are welcome. Contact me at LeansToFar@aol.com, for an address to mail books to, they must be in my hands by the end of August. For each book donated you earn $1,000.00 Buckaroos.
The donated books will be presented to the VA Hosital on the Wednesday prior to the conference, so please make your donation asap (last day to mail them would be August 21st.).

The auction for 2013 will have a blind auction of twenty envelopes containing from $1.00 to $10,000 in Buckaroos.
MWSA will be offering at the auction a Two-Day stay at the conference in addition but totally separate from the one-day the hotel donates. Officers and Board Members may not bid on the two-day stay.
MWSA will in addition to its 3-Year Membership donation also provide one each for a 1-yr and 2-yr Membership.
Note: If you are not coming to the conference and you win an award you will need to send a check to: MWSA, P.O. Box 264, Bridgeville, PA 15017 in the amount of $6.00 to have you medal and stickers mailed. No other contact or notice will be provided, so mark it on your calendar if you have submitted a book to our awards contest.
The awards banquet will be held in the Discover/Challenger rooms same as last year, a cash bar will be available an hour prior to the banquet. The 2013 Award year closes on July 15, 2013 (this means the review and score must be completed and in my hands no later than that date).
We will have available to us the Anderson Room for interviews and most one-on-one meetings, the Glenn Room is our Hospitality Suite for members to meet and greet or grab a soda or coffee in between seminars. Most seminars will take place in the Lindberg Room & the Amphitheatre. Open Mic and the Buckaroo auction on Friday night will take place in the Amphitheatre, a cash bar will be open about one hour prior to the Open Mic.
If you are interested in presenting a seminar, provide an outline to Dwight Zimmerman by July 15th. Cut-off date for signing on as a seminar presenter is July 15th., this is necessary as the conference schedule will be printed in this years anthology in the back of the book.
