I was told this little story by a Air America troop when I first arrived at Ton Sun Nhut in Jan 68. The written version is not nearly as good. but does fit with the story I got verbally. == ' AIR.

This is too good a story not to pass on to all VN era GIs. And of course, others with memories of that time frame.

Hey guys! I'm back from vacation and had a wonderful time on top of a mountain in North Carolina. Just wanted to say if you haven't submitted something for the Anthology, get it in to Mike Mullins this week. You don't have to go to the conference to have a submission, but you do need to be an official member. The theme is "Silent Battlefields"...and as long as you have the rights to the material you send in, we will publish it. Your submission can be a picture, a song, a poem, a short story, an essay, an article, etc. Absolute maximum is 5000 words, but we prefer shorter.
